Rain

It is raining.  I had forgotten what it sounded like. To hear rain all night long.  Umbrellas and raincoats had to be found, and fished out of long forgotten cupboards.  The smell is the probably the best thing.  The smell of a clean world. Washed and rinsed and refreshed like all our spirits.  Bega today, at school and down the street, was a smiling place.  Everyone swapping stories of how much rain they'd had and how they'd watched their tanks over flowing and their dams filling  and their creeks flowing.
Yippee!!!!

my dams and the creek runneth over! wheeeeee harrr!

my photos of dams and creek running over are being played over and over and over again on the weather channel this evening (as is my mutant jockey voice excitedly telling how my creeks and dams runneth over..... such is my joy I'm ready to tell the world)

  3. Greetings,

The smell of a washed earth is indeed unique.
It also give the human spirit a lift, a sprint of energy as the heart flitters with hope . . .

    Thank you for sharing,
